‘Tis the season for watching Home Alone on repeat. It’s one of those Christmas movies that we’ll be watching every year for the rest of our lives. We’ve seen it so many times we could probably give you a recap of the entire film, frame by frame (don’t worry, we won’t). So needless to say, we like to keep it interesting. This year we created our very own Home Alone drinking game and were inspired to pay homage to the film one step further: it needed its own cocktail.
So, we’d like to introduce you to Les Incompetents. It’s a twist on a classic French cocktail, featuring cognac, Grand Marnier and sweet vermouth and after a couple of these you literally will be Incompetent. Yes, it’s one boozy adventure – buckle up!
- 1 oz cognac, we used Courvoisier
- 1 oz Grand Marnier
- 1/2 oz of sweet vermouth
- Cranberries for garnish (optional)
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker along with a handful of ice cubes. Stir for 30 seconds and strain into a champagne glass. Get tipsy.
