Best Day of the Week

Make the Sandwich of Your Dreams

Make an Epic Sandwich

Sometimes, the only difference between a good day and a great day is a sandwich. Like Joey Tribbiani, it’s probably our favourite food. I’ve had sandwiches so good it seemed like I was having an out of body experience. No joke.

One of the best things about sandwiches is that there are so many combinations to choose from. You can put just about any protein in a sammy, you can go hot or cold, basic or over the top.

Today we’re going to tell you about a sandwich near and dear to our hearts. When we were in the 8th grade, the three of us would go to one of our houses for lunch. Our favourite lunch of all-time was what we called “The Best Sandwich in the World.” It originated in Alyssa and my house (we’re twins – fraternal, obvi), so huge credit to our mom for this one. It was an onion bun with sliced turkey breast, havarti cheese, onion sprouts, mayonnaise and mustard. Simple enough right? But let me tell ya, this combination was on point. Still to this day, anytime we think about a sandwich, it’s “The Best Sandwich in the World.” And every time we have one, we’re transported to being 13 again. It’s still just as good as it was then.

So, if you’re looking for something to do that will take your day to the next level, then make the sandwich of your dreams – whatever that may be. Trust us on this one.

Here’s what you’ll need to make “The Best Sandwich in the World”

If you’re looking for more sandwich inspiration, we have a whole board on Pinterest dedicated to sammies here, but some of our other fave combos are:

We don’t need to guide you on this one – just layer.

But we will tell you the perfect drink pairing for your sammy – which is a shandy. This simple combination of beer and lemonade is good enough to rival the “The Best Sandwich in the World.” And that’s saying something. Grab the recipe, which includes our homemade lemonade, here.
