Best Day of the Week

The Earl Grey Gin Sour

Host an Over the Top Tea Party

We’ve been mixing tea in our cocktails for awhile now and it’s definitely the best kept secret out there.

Literally, you can take any tea, let it steep for at least 24 hours in your favourite liquor and voila! The combination of Earl Grey and gin is our absolute favourite. There’s something about the flavours that just mix so well together.

The Earl Grey Gin Sour is perfect for a Sunday brunch or tea party (like the one we had to celebrate the Royal Wedding). You literally can’t taste alcohol at all. These go down super easy.

Measure out roughly 1 tbs of loose leaf earl grey tea or two bags of tea for every 2 cups of gin. If you’re infusing an entire 26oz bottle then 4 or 5 tea bags should do the trick. Combine the tea and gin in a mason jar and let steep for at least 24 hours. From there, remove your tea with a strainer and you’ve got your Early Grey Gin. To make your honey syrup mix equal parts honey and water in a small pot. Heat over the stove until the honey dissolves in the water, let cool. Grab some ice and combine all ingredients in the glassware of your choosing. We chose tea cups because it made us feel fancy.

Enjoy!
