Best Day of the Week

The Best-Ever Fall and Thanksgiving Cocktail Recipes

Cranberry Ginger Pecan Martini

We were ready for sweater weather weeks ago, and now it’s finally here! Don’t get me wrong, we love summer as much as the next guy but fall in Canada is magical. It always feels like a new beginning, even more than New Year’s Day, probably from starting a new school year when we were kids. We know it’ll get cold AF quickly, but we’re enjoying the crisp fall air for the couple weeks we have it for. Also one of the funny things about fall in Canada is that there’s always a false start – it’s hot then instantly cold, but before the season truly sets in it always gets hot again for a couple of days. And those are the days you need to truly cherish before we settle in for the long haul.

One of the reasons we love fall is the flavours it brings. It’s one of the best food and drink seasons, right? I mean, you’ve got pumpkin, squash, fall herbs like sage, cinnamon and thyme, as well as apples and pears. What more could you want? We try and take advantage of all the seasonal flavours by cooking and mixing up cocktails as much as we can. And since we have a lot of fall cocktail recipes up here we decided to round them up in one spot for you.

One of our all time faves, this is our version of a PSL, but with a little something extra. Grab the recipe here.

Forever Nuts Tea Cocktail

We took our fave tea from David’s Tea and made a warm cocktail worthy of the fall season. It’s spicy, sweet and oh so delish. Grab the recipe here.

Chai Whisky Sour

This is officially our favourite way to enjoy chai tea. Made using chai tea infused whisky, this twist on the classic cocktail will not disappoint. Grab the recipe here.

Boozy Apple Cider

We make this cocktail every time we pick apples. It’s literally the essence of sweater weather in a mug. Grab the recipe here.

Pumpkin Beer Cocktail

Love pumpkin beer but don’t want to commit to a whole bottle? We gotchu. We spice up a pumpkin brew with whisky and cinnamon syrup, resulting in a highly crushable cocktail. Grab the recipe here.

Northern Cardamom Chai

This is the Fall cocktail you’ll be craving when you want all the comfort of a tea, but with an extra hit of chai spice and some booze to make you do your happy dance. Grab the recipe here.

BONUS: Pumpkin Beer Tasting

Not a cocktail, but one of our favourite fall activities we think you’ll love. We round up all the pumpkin beers we can get our hands on and pit them against each other with a blind tasting. We outline how to host a tasting of your own here, which includes a downloadable score sheet!
